The Institute offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management, which is a 2 years Full Time Programme approved and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India. Following specializations are offered to the students:

Programme Objectives
At the end of the programme the students would have developed:

A strong knowledge base in all areas of management theory and practice.
Key management skills and techniques.
Confidence in analyzing and evaluating problems and taking decisions.
Ability to think through issues and problems and see different angles involved as well as the integrated picture.
A lively ethical concern.
The programme also aims at molding the students as socially responsible and sensitive citizens, in addition to efficient corporate managers.

Program Structure
IPM has a unique programme structure designed in order to prepare the students for the challenges ahead in the best possible way. The complete PGDM programme is a full time 2 years course divided into 4 semesters. The First Semester of the course starts with a coverage of Foundation Subjects which impart to the students a sound knowledge of the essential functional areas of business.

At IPM the electives are introduced in the second semester itself. All the students are required to undertake a summer project spread over 8 weeks between the First and Second Years, so that when the students go for their summer internship, they have already gained some knowledge about their field of interest. This makes their summer project a better learning experience.

The electives are designed to give the students as wide a choice as possible, to specialize in areas of their interest and acquire advanced knowledge and skills.

The programme rounds off with a strong emphasis on integrative and value-oriented courses such as Business Policy and Business Ethics so as to make the student not only a competent manager, but also a socially responsible citizen.

IPM welcomes students from all streams (science, arts, commerce, engineering, etc.). At IPM they enjoy the best of both the worlds – a top-class Management curriculum and teaching method and the convenience and affordability of the local setting. In addition, there are opportunities for overseas exchange programmes.

Eligibility:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (under 10+2+3 system) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks, from a University recognized by UGC/AIU/AICTE. Candidates in the final year are also eligible, provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria before the commencement of first term examination.

A valid score in any of the management admission tests namely CAT /MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ JMET/ CMAT/ GMAT any other management entrance test score recognized by AICTE.

Admission Procedure
Candidates seeking admission should fill up the prescribed Application Form and submit the same to the Admission Office.

The Application Form along with the Brochure can be obtained from the Institute by payment of Rs 500 or it can be downloaded from the website and submitted to the institute along with a demand draft of Rs.500 in favour of ‘Institute of Productivity & Management’ payable at Lucknow.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI):

The date(s) for GDPI would be intimated to the short listed candidates through email and letter.

 Admission Offer
Final selection of candidates in the PGDM programme will be based on a careful evaluation of the applicant’s academic record, entrance test score, group discussion and personal interview score. Successful candidates will be informed via e-mail / letter. The selected Candidates must pay their first installment of the fee within the stipulated time as mentioned in the Admission offer, failing which offer shall stand withdrawn. Ineligible candidates are liable to be rejected at any stage of the admission procedure and in all matters of admission; the decision of the Admission Committee shall be final and binding.
