In a short span of time, the Department of Management commencing in 1998, has grown from strength to strength, and has risen to national as well as international prominence. The department has always strived to excel through the wide range of courses offered, high quality research output from the research oriented faculty and the students of highest caliber. The full suite of courses offered by the department includes MBA, BBA, B.Com (Hons), PhD (Management) and Executive PhD.  The department has always been at the forefront of developing quality education, thus, the courses offered are continuously scrutinized to align and upgrade in response to the changing business requirements.

In its endeavor to impart holistic education to the budding managers the teaching pedagogy and course curriculum include a healthy mix of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The pedagogical approach is crafted in such a way that it helps the students think out of the box. The fieldwork, case studies and other activities in the curriculum are tactically indulged to inculcate curiosity to find solutions to the problems existing in the market. The department aims to nurture and cradle leadership with in-depth understanding of the business world.

The Department organizes regular interactive sessions with speakers representing the higher echelons of industry, aimed at grooming the students in corporate etiquettes and sensitizing them to the industry requirements. Realizing the importance of responding to the dynamic environment and rapid technological advancements; the department organizes workshops and training sessions for the potential managers covering latest trends and developments in the business world. To keep the students involved, the department organizes sessions in different domain not limited to entrepreneurship, software, and share markets. To experience the real life situations, the department organizes industrial tours.

A candidate seeking admission to the programme must have:

Passed Bachelor’s degree examination or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution. Bachelor’s degree signifies that the degree has been obtained under 10+2+3 system of education.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks or CGPA of 5 on a 10 point scale & appeared in CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/GPAT/ATMA etc. Note: Those with 2 years of continuous work experience / foreign / NRI/Sponsored candidates are exempted from CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/GPAT/ATMA etc. Their admission will be based on GD followed by personal interview.

Selection Procedure

Admission to the MBA program will be made on the basis of the merit determined by the score of MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ATMA and performance of short-listed candidates in Group Discussion and interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

All the candidates, desirous of admission to the MBA program shall apply to Jamia Hamdard on its prescribed Admission Form and include the MAT scorecard along with the Form. If the MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ATMA score is not available at the time of submission of Admission Form, the candidate must submit an attested copy of the MAT/ CMAT/ CAT scorecard as and when the result is declared. Admission Form number/ Roll number allotted by Jamia Hamdard must be written on the back of the copy of the scorecard.

Candidate will be short listed on the basis of the MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ATMA score for GD and Interview to be held in Jamia Hamdard. Dates of GD/interview will be communicated to the short-listed candidates.
