Mechanical engineering
Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest disciplines of engineering. It is also known as the "mother" field of engineering. Another intriguing aspect of mechanical engineering is its highly vast and diversified application base. Almost all innovations in the ancient time, and the great majority in the modern age, are direct contributions of one or more applications of mechanics.
Mechanical engineers have traditionally had to deal with principles such as mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, kinematics, structural analysis, fluid mechanics, and many more. These principles are used in the construction of cutting-edge manufacturing units, various types of motor vehicles, aviation and aerospace parts, and a diverse range of industrial apparatus.
Mechanical engineers also help to build engines, power plant equipment, heating and cooling systems, and other basic and complicated machinery. Mechanical engineers are in charge of not only designing new mechanical systems, but also testing, maintaining, and producing them.
Computer Engineering
The Department of Computer Engineering teaches the principles of computer engineering in accordance with the Savitribai Phule Pune University syllabus. The first batch, the most sought-after department, graduated in 1998, and the department has been working to live up to the institute's slogan, ONWARD TO GLORY, ever since. The department has well-established state-of-the-art laboratories and sophisticated facilities.
The computer section is outfitted with ergonomically designed furniture having branded P-IV and 64-bit processor Dual Core Computers from HP and Dell.
Additional Facilities:
A 50 MBP Leased Line Internet connection is provided.
The campus is completely networked and has Wi-Fi access.
LCD projector for interactive and productive learning.
Dell PowerEdge R720 server.
The Department organizes a variety of workshops, seminars, and expert talks on cutting-edge technology on a regular basis.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
The department comprises nine well-equipped laboratories: Project Lab, Electrical Lab, Digital & Biomedical, Power and Network Lab, Basic Electronics Lab, Computer Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, VLSI Lab, and Communication Lab. Spectrum Analyzer, Powerscope, AM/FM Generator, Arbitrary waveform Generator, Storage Oscilloscope, Distortion Analyzer, and other equipment worth Rs 1.35 crore are included. The laboratories are all on the same floor. In addition to the main college library, we offer a separate departmental library where students may access additional volumes. The department conducts a variety of events such as EESA, industrial visits, expert lectures, and so on.
Through campus interviews, our students have been hired by firms such as Syntel, Tata InfoTech, HP, Honeywell, IBM, and MBT. Many students have pursued further education, such as ME, MBA, and MS, both in India and overseas. Other students are employed by well-known firms in both the hardware and software industries.
